Cooper City Cobras Soccer offers competitive youth soccer programs for the young athletes of Cooper City and surrounding areas. This soccer initiative operates under the Cooper City Optimist (CCO), a not-for-profit organization and a proud member of Optimist International. Established in 1982, our club has significantly expanded, thanks to the dedication of hardworking volunteer parents who coach, support fundraising, and manage the club's administrative and operational tasks. Our goal is to create an environment where players can play, parents can cheer, and the club can flourish, making soccer a delightful experience for all.
The Cobras Travel soccer program is a recognized affiliate of the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and competes in Region A. Our boys and girls travel teams engage in league play through the South Florida United Youth Soccer Association (SFUYSA).
The cost to enroll in travel soccer programs varies by age group. For those playing in two leagues (Fall & Winter) and participating in five tournaments, the estimated total membership cost is around $1K, with approximately half due in mid-June for travel soccer registration. Soccer tryouts occur in May, and players are expected to attend all sessions.

**MISSION STATEMENT**
Cooper City Optimist Soccer operates with a dedicated team of volunteer parents, all working towards a shared vision. We are committed to nurturing the development of soccer from age four through high school seniors. Our focus is on teaching the sport's fundamentals at the youth level, fostering a lifelong passion for soccer. We provide opportunities for both recreational and competitive players to advance in this beloved sport.
Our recreational soccer program, or "Rec," welcomes every child eager to play soccer. It is designed to provide a fun environment where players can learn the game and develop essential skills. Our emphasis is on enjoyment. The recreational philosophy aims to create a relaxed atmosphere where players grasp the basics of soccer, its rules, and the importance of teamwork. This program is ideal for both beginners and seasoned players seeking limited competition.
On the other hand, our Competitive program, or "Travel" Soccer, is open to all children selected during soccer tryouts who wish to compete at a higher level. This program aims to provide a stimulating environment where players can learn advanced techniques, rules, and teamwork while enjoying the game. Travel soccer offers an excellent opportunity for experienced players seeking competition while maintaining an emphasis on having fun.
For many young athletes in the Florida Youth Soccer Association, the journey begins at the local field. Through dedication, development, and a love for the game, several players from the Cooper City Cobras Travel Soccer Program have continued their soccer careers at the collegiate level. Our program is committed to developing players through structured youth soccer programs both on and off the field, effectively preparing them for the next stage of competition. We proudly recognize the following Cobras alumni who have gone on to play college soccer after successfully navigating their soccer tryouts.

Our Club’s player development philosophies and methods do not align with those SuperClubs where money rules and corrupts! Here at Cooper City, a volunteer-based organization, we focus on developing kids the 'right way,' which is why we are recognized today among South Florida’s top youth academy clubs, particularly in the younger U8 to U11 age groups. We believe our program offers the best youth soccer training value package in South Florida, especially when considering what you pay and what you get. Additionally, our participation in programs sanctioned by the Florida Youth Soccer Association ensures that our players benefit from quality soccer tryouts and travel soccer opportunities that enhance their skills. Join us to experience exceptional youth soccer programs that truly prioritize player development!
